Please change the black armor.

I think it's cool they changed the graphics (although I'd rather they work on making strategus better than making things look pretty).  I don't own black armor but my big problem with what the dev's do is that they change item stats (even worse when they change item requirements), and they don't allow people the option to "respec" their loompoints on the item.  You should let people get their loompoints back if you're going to nerf the stats on the equipment.  If you're going to make the item difficulty higher you should also allow people a free respec of their character.

For instance you had level 32 and 33 builds who rode the courser.  Even had 3 looms into them.  You change the riding from 4 to 6 and fuck over a lot of people.  But you don't let them get a free respec without losing half xp.  I'd suggest not making huge changes, but if you're going to, don't alienate the people who have been playing the longest and no longer wish to retire by forcing them to make tough choices.

I realize they never will give a loom respec or a free skill respec when they make huge changes.  I'm just saying in a perfect world when they fuck people over that already have equipment, they would remedy the situation by letting them get their loom points back, or to re-allocate their skills when they make requirements higher on items.

Heavy plate and black armor both use the same texture. What I would like to have since a better model for the 2 seems not to be a consideration is simply re texture them both so their textures are high quality and awesome. Keep the new 'black armor' though too.

The old one was one of those cRPG classics. The best armour in the game was also the ugliest. It was so ugly it was kinda awesome. It was part of cRPG culture, just like the boulder on a stick and the looney toons axe. They get killed one by one.

my issue with the black armor currently is that unlike the other plate armors, it doesn't give the viewer a very good impression that the plate armor is actually plate armor.

that is to say, the plates for the gothic and milanese plate armor are convincing because they don't show very much clothing underneath. But if you texture a breastplate over clothing, it looks like you've simply 'painted' armor ontop of a jacket of some sort.

Also the fact that the black gauntlets look very large relative to the suit.

Now it's a (heavy) medium armor with not that admirable statistics.

Yeah, stats aren't too good but perhaps it is to keep the amount of renaissance armor limited on the otherwise Medieval cRPG battlefield. I've personally ended up with a lot more weight for a very small armor increase (compared to my old armor)

how bout instead of adding pixel crack and nerfing equipment you make strategus playable.
