I'm also loving the high damagae and its very low upkeep cost (half of the danish for example).
A superb and very underrated weapon in my opinion. Especially if you wear light to medium armor. I don't know how many people I have killed due to them expecting their free attack after a block but being not fast enough in counterattacking and getting hit again by me.
If you have at least moderately blocking skills (required because of the range, your opponent probably gets the first hit) its very fun to play with.
