The removle of side swings to the LV has been a pretty huge nerf on a weapon that has only ever been, okay.

Edit
I've spent a bit of time going over this, thing.
I've come to a completely different conclusion than my original one.
Leave it unbalanced, leave it slow as balls, keep its completely useless poke, and in compensation for it only really having one attack direction that can't be used from the high ground on hills, or on stairs and even when you can use it, the jengy piece of antediluvian shit gets jammed in the ground of wiffs on some duded accidentally trolling your behind, or funnier still you smack some poor bloke behind you with it when he walks into your swing and he Ms you out of ignorance and rage.
So keeping all that in mind, the idea is that when you finally, mostly through luck land a shot on some poor bastard, the thing is a real melon popper and you get all mono-directional medieval on his ass.
By buffing its over head damage it makes it different from the Swiss Hal, but leaves it with its plethora of draw backs. It shouldn't make it op because you still send a telegram anytime you bloody swing it, getting over headed by the LV either means you a) can't block or b) just got poked by a pike, very rarely it means c) I clang bangered you good (

So in closing, it shouldn't make it OP, but it will give it a lovely little niche roll as a team killing machine... I mean as a support weapon. Great for standing your ground and smashing those pesky shields on the shield wall.
