Abendbrot - you all know what I mean!

@topic:

I thought about looming my leather boots. They are actually the only parts of my armor, I usually wear in every case. They've got a good price to repair, 18 leg armor and 22 after being reinforced. But I will surely not loom them until I have my weapons and more important armor parts loomed. Body and head armor are more important, also because my chest armor does give some leg armor anyway.

Leg armour doesn't matter at all. I have a very heavy body armour but I still roll with Rus cavalry boots because they look good. You are better of selling your loompoint or just looming something else.

I've just never really noticed any kind of massive difference for foot armour. I only go with what I think looks good. I'm a style whore, although my helmet has become over used and passe but I have 9 crafting in it :/ I don't really want to just through the crafting away, DAMN YOU ALL THINE HARD WORK DAMN YOU!

TBH there are players like me who purely aim for the leg and groin region with their throwing lances...
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

mail chausses are all you need as infantry...I still use it as cav because they're cheap and provide decent armor.  Oh  noes they have cloth on the back side, how ugly...big deal.

Looming boots?.. -_-

My advice - sell the heirloom point and use your gold for charity. Or make a lottery. Sponsor a prise for a cRPG tournament. Reward best map-makers. Offer 500k for writing a good guide on something. Or buy this t-shirt:

(click to show/hide)

Just don't loom your boots. There is no glory in boots, and very little practical use.

Imho leg an head armor is pointless to loom due to the bonous dmg received when hit in either one...

Its a luxury loom if u have nothing else to spend the loom point at or need gold..
I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

They can aim for my groin all day. Thats where my 60 body armour will keep me safe. Keep in mind that the only portion of the body that uses leg armour is from below the knee. A very small part. They lower legs move around a lot, so its quite hard to shoot. If they get hit they get reduced damage compared to the body, the overall body and leg damage was reduced last patch so there is even less to fear there.

When you say that, I´ll do it. 630 k left to level 31, but what to loom then, hehe.
If its a choice between looming something completely useless or looming leg armour, then go for leg armour. Loomed leg armour is not completely useless, but only just so. Why not keep going after lvl 31? I just hit lvl 32 and having both 7 ps and 7 athlethics is sweet!

Regarding head armor it pretty much depends imo. Sure, if you get hit by an arrow or bolt directly in the head, you are pretty much dead in any case. But if someone has a sword and aims for your head, don't you need head armor then to reduce the dmg given? Afaik it is the head armor which is important ones someone directly hits your head with any melee weapon, so I guess getting better head armor isnt really a minor point, but body armor is for sure always more important. ;)

I'm pretty sure "leg" is deemed as the thighs and down...

I'm pretty sure some of those moments where I 1 or 2 hit someone who's fully dressed in some kinda plate armor are due to their lack of proper boots. (I actually remember 1 hitting YOU, warlord in high tier armor you saying something along "lol wtf, 1hit, got every part of my armor triple loomed" "boots too?" "not the boots" "might be the problem since you were only wearing rus boots")

Also keep in mind that anything up to the pelvis counts as feet (correct me if I'm wrong).

It's not in this game.

Edit: Or maybe it is. Tears's guide says its the entire leg. I remember reading that it was from knees and down and that caused me to go Rus Cavalry Boots.

I just always assumed it was your lower half, so basically under the waist (thighs and down).

Well the body armour model covers till the knee. So would make more sense if the parts it covers are also affected by it. I also remember someone saying it, but I'm not so sure anymore.
