That session we had the other night was a lifesaver for me. Had just taken a huge loss on the fx market and felt all empty inside. Then i came on ts and found a whole bunch of GKs including Saffran and Veyasu! Got some nice teamplay going and all... Next time I hope we get more HAs though. The ranged-melee ratio was not balanced.

and you keep calling it GTX for some reason, i gave myself about 2-3 months to see if im really burned out and i was and i still am, but as i said back than i will join you guys every now and than even if i think game sucks now due to a poor map rotation, slow changes to a map rotation, lower interest of people playing it (max 70-80 players on eu1?) , other clans recruiting as many as they can to be more viable in strat among other things... constant nerfs to lancers had its impact also but it wasnt main reason

Map rotation kinda sucks. I only enjoy the maps created by chagan only. Others are too unfriendly for cav. If I want to play an infantry game I can go to siege or duel for much better gameplay.

To me the main thing about the maps on EU1 is that they dont encurage teamplay. Especially the chokepoint maps (bridge maps) where you pretty much only have one choice and thats join the meatgrinder. Can be fun occasionly  but there's simply to many maps like that in rotation.

Also village maps are really bad. Often you spawn on opposite side of the village and have two choices, either go into the village or go around it on the open terrain. Inf will favor the village and cav will favor the open ground so teams are split right away and will have a hard time support each other. As a "bonus" these maps encurage spawnrape as cav (just as inf) will keep on pushing untill they encounter enemies. Going to the side of the village will lead you to the enemy spawn and often your first enemy encounter.

Oh and Dark going on foot is not really adapting as cav is it? Its more like transforming... Like giving a sniper a standard issue assult rifle and put him in a infantry section ;-)

i play cav on alot of so called infantry only maps, unless im really low on money or most of the rest of you go on foot.

A maps what make of it, my only gripe is that we tend to play the same maps alot. that gets boring fast. plus we could do with a new mix up on rotation just to freshen it up. it gets stale after a while.

That really depends on what maps you define as infantry maps. For me, town-like scenes are not much of a problem; but hilly maps are. Hills simply render horses useless.

hilly isnt too bad just need to be sneaky. its definately easier to play infantry on those maps and cheaper. But its not impossible to play cav and do well.
