pikes? spearmen builds? viable?

The Ashwood pike makes a decent spear/shield with 31p thrust. Its also long enough to confuse people into thinking it can't do overheads when you put the shield away which comes in handy in duels. The only problem is some people can simply spam hilt slash you to death as it doesn't weigh enough and is slow.

Yeah, just like them agility 1handers with short, hard to see swords that abuse the probably fastest attacks in the game, whilst having instant omni-blocks and indestructable shields, is that not a cheat too, then? Get your head out of your arse.

The last time i have looked my shield has broken after 4 - 5 axe hits and protected only my front while 2hand and pole arms have a chance to block strikes from the back.

Anyway why i call it a cheat is because i wiff with an 1hand while the point of the weapon is in front of my opponent while a polearm can hit my with the point somewhere behind me.

Yes, it's stupid, but it's the way how spears work in cRPG. If they didn't work like that, they would be unusable, and would disappear from the battlefield.

100% wpf in polearms

can play on horse,with heavy lance,shield,and quarterstaff,
or I also played on foot in peasant rags,with longspear,as you have 7 athletics,you can pick your opponents,and run away from duels
pretty good build imo.

Well  i had 12/27.
Allowed me to quickly go around the battle field stick with teammates and when i trouble run away etc.
