*Accidentally switches to throw mode while dueling and throws weapon away instead of swinging - Oh crap.*

And people complain about the amount of range around already and you want to make it so that everyone has the ability to just launch their weapons when they get bored of them? Go for throwing, it's what it's there for...

I didn't say all weapons. I just said short swords and small one handed swords. I don't want massive two hander swords flying around. This isn't Braveheart.

you got my vote.
now, the only thing is that if ur throwing 1h u need 1h wpf to be accurate not throwing wpf.
should still be harder that normal throwing, with high damage and high chance to go thru shields

If you can throw around swords, all weapons should be throwable! Throwing pikes and flamberges!  :mrgreen:

Also we need to add decapitation and arm removal.

And yeah, 2h throwing is necessary and realistic as displayed here.

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

The problem with this, iirc, is that anything marked as throwable automatically defaults to throwing mode.  So any new players using short swords would be randomly throwing them at the start of matches, same with old players who tend to click by mistake at the start of rounds.

If you add it, no serious player is going to be accidentally throwing swords after the first few rounds where it's implemented.

I want to throw my bow as a boomerang, with high blunt damage, speed bonus and knockdown. After that it returns so I can finish the guy off with an arrow  8-)
Just have a boomerang with a blade on both sides :lol:
