Absolutely No, upkeep patch was the greatest patch ever, it ended the tincan/plated charger era, probably some players like "The_Finn"  didn't like it, because they could no longer massacre a whole team by themselves. 
If i remeber well, after the upkeep patch there was still a large number of black-armor/plated charger users, but thank god, most of them ran out of money quickly.

what happened?

We started providing a server for crpg, Vincenzo hacked the database and created the most epic archer the crpg world had ever seen, overnight (he is a smart guy but how could he ever think he would not be caught I do nto know). The WPF and power draw values were boosted through the roof, he pretty much 1 hit killed everything and never missed because of the insane accuracy and power.

Of course Angangtyr of the shiedlings says other 22nd were involved because they are permanently bitter and Keshian is spewing the usual torrent shit forth from his fingers. You can think what you will but the fact is he did not tell anyone until he got busted and wtfpwnt by chadz, I believe with a perma ban. A perma ban that no other 22nd member received, because, no other 22nd were involved. The server was obviously taken down, as Vincenzo as a server administrator could not be trusted.

Obviously this post involved logic so expect some nonsensical post from Keshian "debunking" it soon! Clearly the 22nd server cover up is a conspiracy!

PS upkeep patch was awesome and olden days whining about feinting being "abusive" etc was epic luls

Did you play before the patch?Ive never seen anyone massacre a whole team(Well, it got really bad at the end with guys like Mtemtko and stuff, but still).With a few quick and easy tweaks those problems could have been solved without changing the game entirely.But instead they pooped.

Really now, I don't think any of our current members ever think or talk about whatever happened back then, if they even remember.

I actually considered writing 'no offense against the 22nd intended of course' but thought to myself that we were way beyond that and that I wouldn't be misunderstood - guess I was wrong 

I've for at least a year and a half or so viewed this as a thing of the past best buried or laughed at and even back then I never had any finger in it but rather tried to mediate when Eiríkur, Winter, NaglFaar and you and Vincenzo played out your little e-drama, including giving out serious warnings to my clan mates and campaigning for maintaining good relations with other clans when I took over the Einherjar. Also, none of the abovementioned are now Shieldings or Einherjar and nor was I ever a Shielding. Do you perhaps confuse me for Eiríkur, Plazek ?

The only problem I ever had was the very patronizing and undiplomatic tone you used when dealing with me once   which I let slip very fast after that and of course Vincenzo's perma ban for 60+ people after 3 had trolled him.
On the contrary I know and like many of you old 22nds ( past and present ) from Beta times, and I've said this before, people like Coffee, Lezard, Madjack, Chuck Norris, Harlequin, Crazy Archer, Gabe etc, and I've never felt I had any outstanding grudges with any of you, not even Vince with whom I've never had any dealings whatsoever except for him banning us all. And this includes many of your new cRPG members.

It seems to me that you're the one still dwelling on these things, where I had hoped never to waste more time or energy on it again. Drama and grudges just isn't my cup of tea and if you say otherwise I guess I must have misremembered or been misinformed about how many members were involved in the little cRPG hax incident.

Let us never speak of this again except for in jest

No idea what this actually is or how it worked, but seems to have a lot of the forum archived. Khorin used it succesfully to establish that clan Ninja is the oldest living clan.

Seriously, you tried to make it look like a "balance issue" before with the "nerf archers and xbow" but now it's simply ridicolous, learn to play and accept that if you are a 2h user or a cav user, you trade the advantages of your choice with the disadvantages, stop whining "omg too many THROWING WEAPONS" because it's ridicolous! Throwing weapons are inaccurate, low range and you can carry really few of them! If you let them kill you well then you TOTALLY deserve it

Ok, I've watched long enough.

When I found out that 22nd_Duke_Vincenzo cheated his awesome "legolas" char 2 days ago, I couldn't believe it at first. As the admin of the 22nd server I thought I could trust him - well, the greed for e-peen was higher, obviously.

I was kind of disappointed, and thought to myself "maybe he was just testing, maybe he changes it back, lets give him some time". Well, I gave him some time, he cheated his char even further.

That was the time when I got officially pissed. Just for the record, I have absolutely no problem with people trying to hack into my system to show me bugs, that's appreciated. I also can understand people that hack into the system to gain advantage - that's still somewhat sporty, and it's my fault if the code is not secure, and I do check for irregularities in the player values. So if I see that happen, I will fix the leak and reset your char to something realistic.

However, there is NOTHING sporty about going into the database and cheating your char up to thrice the strength what it could actually be. That's just shitting on my head, nothing else. And, well, running around and screaming "LOLZ I'M BESTEST ARCHER, LOOK AT ME" is even more crap.

So yes, so much for the bad news. I'm taking my stuff of 22nd server and hosting it myself again - where I am the only one with access to the DB.

What now? Well, I've been busy working on the multiple server version - I think it should work now, I'll make a seperate thread for that where you can apply for the server host files. They will all be tied to my DB, also, you don't need python installed - I compile the txt files on my side, and you can download the newest files. More on that later.

So yes, just let me state that this is not me vs 22nd, I actually got some great help from several 22nd guys and as far as I can see Vince was the only cheated char, and I'm guessing / hoping it was a solo action.

As long as Vince has access to the 22nd server, however, the 22nd server will not get the server files.

(I can't ban him from future servers, obviously, that's up to every server admin himself - what I can do, however, is to make sure that his key never gets out of peasant stage)

chadz was a lot nicer back then, just as many other veterans. I guess this mod has negative effect on one's personality, it corrupts one's soul and make the bitter bastards out of people.
