Perhaps just raise the resolution on all MW items so they will look crisp while keeping the original model.

agreed. i still i like more the default not fancy models. maybe polished/reworked default models with their opaque tints. carved hilts and grips, chromo, silver or gold was used in cerimonial weapons.

maybe we just need a skin choice at retirement time so who want to use the fancy version, can do it. who prefer to stick with the standard model, too. example, the black of the morningstar became boring... a steel/iron/rusty whatever alternative version would be cool, if someone like the standard black model, can keep it. who wants the other version needs to retire it in the version he wants. if it's already +3 and cannot be retired again well.. market

It would be nice if heirlooming only unlock new skin, but we can still choose from unlocked whatever skin we want.

Most of the time I'm too busy with fighting so I won't look that much at the weapon models.

Although too much bling for me I like the variety it adds. Would be awesome if we could pick any of the 4 models as soon as you masterwork it. Ill install the pack today.

If there were no bonuses from heirlooming you could just pick the one you like and use it ;)

I think it should be included, but I also think there should be a menu option built in to turn on/off extra heirloom models.
