I'm not sure has this been suggested before but there is an epic game mod which we don't have in c-rpg.
Introduction:
You see, before I started playing c-rpg I used to play (a lot) game called Exteel. It's a basically rip-off of Unread 2004 but with huge custom mechas (like those in Gundam series) and difference between UT and Exteel is that in Exteel you could use swords and spears. Melee was pretty decent for a game based on UT engine.
And just like in c-rpg, majority of scum... err.. I mean population were pew pew douchebags (beamer pistols, rifles, cannons etc.) Only rockets were manly because they were heavy and slow and unlike most things in that game, rockets you had to manual aim (other weapons had lock on feature...)
But back to melee. Just like in here, we brave melee fighters were ripped to shreds by the sheer amount of gay ranged. Most popular mod in that game was Capture the Flag, because it was unbalanced, easy and made for cowards and ranged bundle of stickss.
There was also TDM which was controlled by serious clans so playing TDM was just like playing Siege on EU server while most of your enemies wear Grey banner...
There was also DM for people who think they are uber dovahkin decendants blah blah..
But clanless, brave players didn't fit in any of those mods.
That's why we loved to play game mode called Territory control, a mode where bravery and courage counts, where sacrifice means something, where you can win by playing smart and bold.
What is Territory Control:
It's basically game mode from Unreal called Dominion, but the big difference is while UT was pure shooter Exteel was part melee combat action game.
In TC, there are two bases on the each end of the map, between bases, scattered on the map were gates (similar to base). By standing on the gate you capture it. The more gates you control the more points your opponents lose. Also you can insta win if you capture the base, but that's not easy because players respawn on base and gates they control.
Game mod is very frantic, it involves a lot of strategy.
It sounds a lot like Siege or Strat battle? Yes it does.
But unlike siege this mod has no part which makes c-rpg siege broken.
There are no attackers and defenders, both teams are attackers and defenders at the same time!
That's why in that mod sacrifice and balls of steel are essential if you want your team to win. Unlike siege there is no defense round so ranged is pretty much useless. It's the mod made for 1h+shield (for gate control) or 2h/poles (for cleaning the gates).
Gates/base in that game were laser circles and since this isn't futuristic game aproach should be different. You can use flags like in siege or special rooms/buildings.
It's pretty easy to implement because it's basically siege but without it's broken attacker/defense features.
Also you could track k/d in that mod because people who are gonna play that will have k/d no higher than 3.
