Well this kinda depends on the builds, personal taste, etc.
If you check the forum part of the Archer Guides you have a couple of great suggestions regarding this issue.
Personally since I use an hybrid build with a 2 slot bow:
> If I'm using 2 quivers: . Hammer: 0 slots, blunt damage, knockdown (like, the most important thing, mmk?);
. Pickaxe: 0 slots, pierce damage. (a bit more lengthier than the hammer, but even so still small as hell)
> If I'm with 1h wpf and 1 quiver: . Military Pick: 1 slots, pierce damage and blunt damage on secondary mode, 98 speed, 70 length, medium price.
. Iberian Mace: 1 slots, blunt damage, knockdown (!!), 97 speed, 71 length, medium price.
. Military Hammer: 1 slots, blunt damage, knockdown (!!), 94 speed, 80 length, medium price.
. Warhammer: 1 slots, blunt swing damage, pierce stab damage, secondary mode with pierce swing damage, knockdown (!!), 97 speed, 65 length, high end price.
> If I'm using 2h wpf and 1 quiver: . Mace: 1 slots, blunt damage, 98 speed, 70 length, knockdown (!!), low/medium price.
(don't see any reason to use other weapon as a 2h wpf user.)
Dunno if I forgot something, cheers.
PS: Forgot to mention that pure archery is gay, so sorry!
