Secondary mode for 1h axe

I suggest a new weapon : the axe/pick

In normal mode it's an axe (bonus against shields)
In secondary mode, it's a pick (damage become pierce)

This is the way that kind of weapons were used in Middle Age.

The problem is even if you are number 1 in NA you are still only number 467 in EU or the worst in AUS(number 17)

We already have that, the Broad Battle axe has a pick end. It would be cool if alt fire rolled it around and you got Pierce instead of cut. Mega sweet op! WOOO

No, wouldnt be nice, would be op.Unless all the Axe costs were doubledand the pierce damage was just half as much as the cut one.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

It is possible to do, the only problem is that the model wouldn't turn around the way you want it.

Alternate damage mode is possible, though.

Could work too for hammer, poleaxe, bec, etc, but it's op.
Too easy mod, you only bring one weapon for 2 situations.
Actually if you want do both damage type you have to bring an axe and a pick.

That's what i'm doing but it's not realistic.

That kind of weapon could be less effective thant the steel pick, or any specialised weapon.

It's a very light advantage compared to heavy swords, mauls etc.

Changing mode between extra damage vs shields and extra damage vs armor is OVERPOWERED.

Balance > realism

No, if you change the damage values of piercing weapons (which has sense, with the huge amount of MINIMUM damage they deal). non loomed Steel pick around 28 piercing damage, and the others start going down 27, 25, 23 etc.

The broad axe could have an alternate mode doing around 22-24 piercing damage, it would be ok.

Think of it, piercing weapons are very good bypassing armors, but they rarely inflicted heavy wounds due to the limitation of the length of the tip. Also we could make them unbalanced, cause when they hit (also on shields), they usually got stuck.

Anyway, the way and VALUES OF DAMAGE of piercing 1h weapons right now is a bit overpowered.

All those weapons with picks and blades looks very clumsy and should get a severe nerf to speed if the pick was usable.

Anyway, doing it is simply impossible given the current modding state of the art. There's no flexibility in the way the weapons are wielded. That's why 2h langes messer looks buggy (hands through the hilt)

How much pierce damage would it do?  <- only when you answer this question can you decide if it would be OP or not.
People jump the gun man..damn.  10 pierce damage would not be OP.  35 pierce damage would be OP.

If it had like 26 pierce, that would mean it would do roughly the same damage (we're talking the Broad 1h Battle Axe here) as the cut side would to an opponent in med. armor.  But then it would do more damage against heavy armor, so might be OP.  So something like 20-23 pierce would probably be fine and balanced.

That is all.
