make the game more daring by not showing any character information at all until after an attack is initiated.

I like this.

Boost to short-medium range trading, which is more realistic than expecting people to cross map.

Boost to political/warfare aspects. Banditry becomes more practical, while trade agreements become important. There should also be more quality battles over trade if people are defending their caravans properly.

Any word on the inventory bugs being fixed? Where even if you win, you lose what you were carrying/using at end of battle? Kinda blows if you have decent stuff on 30-50 people at end, and it gets vaporised.

That really needs to be fixed.

caravans being slowed down further?
they already get slower with more troops and now +/= the goods?!
this is gonna screw gold gain even more, won't matter much with the distance boost, noone will be stupid enough to turtle trough large distances, it will either cost more in upkeep or bandits are going to stumble upon you like stray cats after an stinking fishy in ya pants

the suggestion of wagons or equus africanus asinus's would be an great addition to this  8-)

That really needs to be fixed.

Yes, please fix the "lose surviving gear even if you win" bug, before working on anything else. It is pretty important, especially now that the battles can have 60 players again.

Very good changes, I approve.

Next priority should be neutral fiefs paying their mercenaries. In order to provide incentive to succeed in battle, the pay-off should be a quarter of what the mercenary signed up for if the result is a loss, and full pay if the attackers are held off. This will also encourage clans signing up as an entirety to help defend neutral fiefs.
Wherever I tread, only chaos & destruction follow.

I think this is a particularly good time for the Caravan Guild to start offering their Guarding services.

When will it be updated? December 2013?

Has there even been change yet?

Don't think so, movement speed seems to be the same.

The logic of war seems to be that if a belligerent can fight he will fight.

so uhhh... when is this happening? isnt it kind of fucking over traders to have this looming over their heads so that they bunker down and get ready for it instead of carrying on with their business? warning is nice... but maybe say like "golly gosh we are changing shit and gee willickers but itd be a dern good idea to be ready for it when it hits in X days!"

It was supposed to be "within 24 hours", presumably something unexpected happened (either with the code or other obligations or whatever).

That is of course 100% understandable, though an updated (estimated) scheduel of the change would be appreciated.
