For people reading this who haven't tried out Strategus yet, here's how recruiting works:
You have the chance to recruit 1 troop per hour in villages/towns and a better chance in castles. If a lot of people are recruiting at your location though, it'll lower your chance to recruit. So let's say you recruit 40 troops over 2 days, that'll be worth 13,600 CRPG gold once this guy buys them. You put up a stone for 13.6k in the marketplace link at the top of your c-rpg.net character page, he buys it, then you transfer the troops to him on the Strategus map. If you have more than 49 troops on the Strategus map you'll have to pay strategus gold upkeep for them though.
Another good way to earn cRPG gold is by selling strategus gold:
You move your character around the strategus map until you find a village with the lowest good price and prosperity, for example, 5 gold and -3 prosperity. You click on "craft item" and "select" then choose the town's trading good which you will be able to produce for about 3 gold. So you sit in the village and craft 1 good per hour for 3 days making 72 goods. You then move your character around on the map looking for a town with a higher trade goods price and high prosperity. The farther away from the location where you crafted the goods, the bigger the distance bonus you'll get too. So you find a town where the trade good prices are 25 gold. You can now sell the goods that cost 3 gold to produce for 25 gold each plus a little distance bonus so let's say you make 30 gold per item. After selling the goods and paying a 1% tax, you now have 2,138 Strategus gold that you can list for sale on the marketplace forums or pm someone in a clan about selling it directly to them. Last week I made about 115,000 CRPG gold just by selling troops and gold in strategus.
