How about bringing the 1 slot per item thing back, but making it so players can only bring one of cartain types of weapons like polearms, shields bows...?

The slot system is very fine and I think there is no need to change it.

Although I would like to use something else than a hammer with my 2-slot bow and 2 quivers, but hey, life sucks^^  Would be cool to have at least a onehand sword or pick that is 0 slot and deals little damage, but looks better than the hammer and is a bit longer :/

I dont want Archers with Rus Bow and Flamberge ( Nebun FTW )
So a clear NO to ur suggestions

But yea archers should have some 0 slot weaps so they could have more personal weapons.
But this weapons shouldnt be too good cuz archers are ranged and not meant to rule in melee

Slot system was a strange decision, still do not understand why this was needed, because argument like «Ugly archer with bow and 2H» it's like confession that you can be  killed by a person with 0-50 wpf in secondary weapon. In other word - epic fail for any honorable fighter. And as long as repair bills depend on wpf in weapon class - it's even more laughable. Today archers loose money with bow and arrows only.

Slot system killed versatility of characters. It's boring to see how all melee now make «18\21 all wpf in 2H» or «24\15 all wpf in pole» builds.  Really.

Ladders could be limited too you know...

what is "consite"?

Archers with large weapons would be quite ineficient without the wp to back them up.

If the stack size of arrows was improved this could work. some weapons would still have to be 2 slots (long maul, pike, flamberge)

this would allow for archers to use a widen variety of weapons giving them something that they really need.

slots kind of killed hybridization.

Also anyone tried a 21/15 build at 30 with 5 riding and 145wpf in 2h or polearm

Consite=Construction site.
And its fuckin easy to fight without wpf if u got a bit experience in melee.
Also every 2-Hander/Pole would bring Arbalests again and i really dont miss that type of hybrid

The slot system is a really efficient system to prevent these shitty hybrids ( like Archer/2-hand/Pole, 2-Hand/X-Bow, 1H+Shield/Arbalest )
and to set a limit to ranged.

Just be happy with that what ya have and dont wanna be OP all the time ...

TBH I'm really boring to collect this forum-heroes. I can give you chance to prove your words. If it's too easy to fight without wpf, than I think, it's pretty possible for you to clear out all waves of bots in DTV single handed. Please, make STF character with 15\15 stats, 5 ps, 5 athletics and 0 wpf in all weapons. Then make video of your heroic deeds. Use 1 handed weapon, i think it's not problem for you

When you return with success - repeat this with 160+ ping. If you don't know, only half of a playerbase have ping less than 100. Not like Urist with his 8 ping.

Perhaps those could be limited as well.

My main point is that certain items could be limited to 1, as an alternative to the current slot system. Whatever items are those is not the point.
I suspect people are voting without understanding.
