Horrible new game mode.

Simple idea. Game mode could be called Victory Brutality or VB.

One hundred men enter, one man leaves.

2 teams.

At the start of the round each team can only kill its own team members until one remains.

The last 2 remaining players then fight to the death.

Only one map, Arena.

Dance puppets dance!

Anybody could.  It's like all those B-movies where the unlikely hero squad forms in desperate circumstances, claiming they'll "decide what to do when the time comes."

+1 from me too, though I'd prefer if everybody started in Arena gear with near-base level weapons and horses.  +100 gold for being a finalist, +150 for being the winner, and the regular multiplier for everyone besides.  It could be a neat way for folks who have no cash, and thus aren't using good armour generally, to have as good a chance to contribute as anybody else.

why not have a "tourney" mode where you can set up combat tournaments/events and win small amounts of strat gold instead of standard CRPG gold/EXP.

can be deathmatches, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, etc.

Tournies are held in towns and you sign up on strategus.

What about like tournaments in single player.

2 teams of 16 each.  Winning team then breaks into teams of 8 and fight each other, winning team breaks into teams of 4, etc until it's 1v1.

It could take a long time for spectators but every time you move on you gain a multiplier and enjoy that until the next round ends

Eleminatory FFA fights are really cool, as long as they remain pure inf or pure ranged or pure cav and the rounds are short enough.
