Actually plate armors where more agile then mail and scale hauberks.

Proof?  Without pictures it didn't happen.

Most melee combat games are...
To get even miles away (instead of light years) the engine would have to be so complicated.  Still, the closer the better!

It could be a lot closer than it is with the existing engine.  It's not because the community and the devs want "balance".

Yeah, it was just like the kid's cartoon "Gummi Bears" where people in plate mail are jumping around "here and there and everywhere".

Dashing and daring,
Courageous and caring,
Faithful and friendly,
With stories to share.
All through the forest,
They sing out in chorus,
Marching along,
As their song fills the air.

Gummi Bears!!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.

Magic and mystery,
Are part of their history,
Along with the secret,
Of gummiberry juice.
Their legend is growing,
They take pride in knowing,
They'll fight for what's right,
In whatever they do.

Gummi Bears!!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.
They are the Gummi Bears!!

Plate is more agile than mail.  They did actual tests on "Deadliest Warrior: William the Conquerer vs Joan of Arc."

Mail has all its weight bearing down on your shoulders (and hips if you wear a tight belt).  Plate has its weight evenly distributed among your various limbs.  Plate allows for greater movement and flexibility as well...the joints in the armor allow for free and natural movement.  The chain acts like a heavy sag on your joints.

Depending on the type of plate anda mount of mail...the plate is heavier...but it is much easier to bear and is more flexible.
