Other news. Anybody watching word championships this time? I bet atleast Beauchamp is watching how his Česká republika is doing on the ice . It would be nice to have international game watching nights in ts while the game is on. We could insult each other's teams and roar loudly when our own team makes a goal .

I also read from the newspapers that IIHF streamed the first game through youtube. Finnish commercial channel MTV3 has been really butthurt about it since they are the only one with the rights to show the World Championships in Finland. After some pressuring IIHF put a geoblock to Finnish viewers. I don't know if this has happened elsewhere. I can watch only games where team Finland is playing from my television. All other games are aired on pay channels -.- Not to speak that the best of all times commentator (This ICONIC guy) is on air in free channels only in the last games (if our team even gets that far). Fucking capitalistic pigs... Watching all games of World Championship Hockey should be civil right and not only for the people who have money to pay for it!

Arrogant man who thinks his somehow skilled ans special, I listened to him 5 mins yesterday and I almost puked because of his stupid jokes. Hockey rocks! Mertaranta has "the voice of blue and white". No arguments can be made. Maybe you think he is arrogant etc, because he is so passionate about what he does? He lives and breathes through his job. It isn't arrogant if you do your job correctly. Listen to commentator called Mika Saukkonen for couple of minutes and you hear what is arrogant and self centered bastard . He is the guy who thinks that he can replace Mertaranta some day. Yeah he has the knownledge of players and all stuff but does he have the same passion about the job? In my opinion, no. He tries to be so "professional" and not to be on "either side", even if it's clear that all who speak Finnish and listen to his babble want Finland to win, not Sweden. He sounds so monotonic and never gets exited and raise his voice. He just sounds dull. Mertaranta 9001 - 0 Saukkonen.

Well I don't like reality tv and refuse to watch it if possible. I think the money is much more well spent on sports broadcasts where people do something interesting . And btw, I don't think world championships are that costly anyhow... Yes the production is costly with all the shitloads of camera and audio gear etc. Atleast if we compare to NHL, the players get basically nothing moneywise. The gold winning bonus for team Finland players is much smaller than the player's paycheck in NHL during the same time so for them it's not about money. I think KHL players in Russia get paid rather well too.
