An atrocious butchering of what was already perfection. The shambling staccato rhythm of the original has been totally replaced by a monotonous drone of synth. Uematsu's profound use of counterpoint and interlocking harmonies in the crescendos and bridges have been either entirely edited out or inundated in synthetic bassoons and tubas. There is an offensively dissonant organ that blots out the melody in the most crucial passages. Nobuo Uematsu would be rolling in his grave.
