[Fun Idea] Heirlooms

Peasant items are awesome to mess around with, and can be very painful to use. I notice that many skilled players resort to peasant items after getting very bored with standard hack n slash iron weapons.

So what am I suggesting?

Peasant items, that are clearly less powerful than other items, aka the sickle, practice lance, the cudgel, ninja stars etc, should have a greater return on their heirlooms!

This way a player can suffer through the long proccess of trying to fight with a sickle for instance, but be very motivated to get it heirloomed.

These weapons have a clear disadvantage and I think this would be a valid way to rebalance them, and make them an even more fun part of the game.

By this I do not mean, give a disproportionate amount of dmg and spd according to the heirloom. But scale the bonuses for every hierloom by 1 and 2/3. So instead of the elder's sickle doing 23 damage, it would do 25 damage.

That way it gives players incentives to play a different avenue of the game, other than just laughing at the enemy when they kill them with a less powerful weapon.

If you buff the peasant items' looms, then they will no longer be "clearly less powerful".

A lot of these items actually have really high speed stats, some of them even superior to the 'real' weapons.

But they are statistically worse across the board in many cases to their counterparts.

They are meant to be, they are peasant farming tools mainly.

I think we should give it a try. Remember that most of the peasent weapons are a lot shorter, thereby compensating for thier speed

If you play a fake peasant, you don't care about your weapon being shorter since you can accelerate very fast and be in good range before the guy expects it.

These are peasant's item, i don't see WHY they should get better heirlooms than normal, except making leechers have fun, wich is... undeserved.

Sure things as long as they're not made too good (I'm looking at 0 slot ones, mainly).

Don't do that.

Scythe, heavy practice sword, cheap 2h axes and 0 slot weps shouldn't be buffed.

Their cost is enough of an incentive.

Their cost is enough of an incentive.

The Scythe, practice longsword, and 0 slot hammer are exceptions to this. (due to them actually being balanced stat wise) But there are some weapons that make no sense for their cost/stats, look at the Cleaver, the sickle, the practice lance, the maul.

I really think this will provide an incentive for players who run around in huge armor and carry a bec/greatsword to look at alternatives.

For the most part, those peasant weapons completely bounce off of enemy armor.

As someone who has loomed a Long Dagger and Ragged Outfit, I for one wish lower tier items had slightly better returns. As it stands, I nutted up and went for a Reinforced tag over Lordly for style.
