* The focus of this build is a balanced 2h build that can maneuver and react/attack quickly but can also still hit decently hard (as opposed to high agi low powerstrike ninja builds).  Positioning is vital - taking advantage of the 7 athletics and quick attacks of 7 WP.   You will be able to parry pretty quickly so knowing how to do that decently helps. 

- Medium to heavy armor is suggested (chain to light plate).  Try to keep weight down, especially hands/helmet which slows you down more because of the multiplier (although in meatgrinder situations on certain maps heavier armor is suggested for random dmg). 

I use Masterwork Longsword and Lordly Transitional with this.   With a non-loomed longsword you will notice a decent decrease in dmg so be aware of that...unless you really like the longsword (it is fast and maneuverable in tight spaces), a sword of war or claymore or something will get you more dmg output with a little but of speed reduction.   Longsword is fast and agile but it is short and kinda low dmg so be aware of that...although I love the +3 loom'd longsword because its dmg at that point is equal to Sword of War/Greatswords and it is still super fast (99 speed)

** Your dmg output might be not great until you hit that final point in powerstrike...but for some reason that last point helps a lot and you will be 1-2 shot'ing most people at that point.

Add a bit of IF and you will definatly notice the +1 PS, unlike the +1 athletics.

You have the maneuverability and speed of a horse xbow, but with the couching damage of a great lance. According to the devs, PS does increase couch damage, but I think that extra damage is overkill. I'm currently at level 22 and with 7 ride, riding an arabian I still 1-shot everyone. Good times.

Can change athletics to IF if always riding a horse. I suggest against that though.

Hmmm, I was suggesting in the "change IF to Athletics if always on horseback" as 7 IF 7 PS, 5 shield, 5 WM 0 athletics if you plan to always be on horseback. But even then I still suggest against it. I find Athletics more valuable than ironflesh always since I like to be on foot often.
All the random numbers like shield of 4 and so on, and such just confused the living balls off of me.

Never, ever, ever build for 31. Always build for 30. This is what I would do, but just so you know hybriding in throwing will be hard for you if it's your first gen:
