I was wondering why 2H weapons have almost the same speed as 1H weapons.
They don't.
There should be at least some difference.
There is.
Some 2H sword would have little or no difference in speed from 1H sword.
No.
The average 1h sword has the speed of 99. Now go and find me a true two-hander weapon with the same speed (considering bastard swords are NOT the true two-handed weapons, and they and the katana are as fast as most one-handers IRL).
And that is the reason so many players use 2H weapons in the game.
No.
In reality, how many soldiers used 2H weapons?
Depends on the period.
Most of the great worriers and armies used 1H weapons and a shield. And I think it is historical fact, and for a reason.
No.
I would recommend you to go and read some books on the evolution of weapons and armor instead of writing nonsense on the forums. When the armor advanced to a certain level, warriors started discarding shields en masse, while looking for more powerful weapons instead.
It should be harder to block with 2H weapon than with 1H weapon and a shield.
Blocking with a shield = press RMB
Blocking with a 2hander = press RMB and move the mouse in the direction the swing comes from
Which method is more difficult?
And maybe not the speed, but some other factor that could be changed.
