The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

Fun fight!
Villagers had Light Male and Plate, Miadoao, Poleaxes, Longbows and all kind of nice stuff. But we learned our lesson and got the village.
You kinda wouldve failed again if we had more troops :/.
Don't mind the fish.

ever heard of spawnrape and sudden changes of game mechanics?

those two things and what you mentioned above kinda cancel each other out.

its beta, things like this happen. sometimes to us, sometimes to sbdy else. who cares...
but it was not the main reason why it lasted 5 times to take it.

If you haven't seen it first hand I'd advise you to fire Dustiril up on the map editor and have a look.

When you start up M&B, the main menu has a scene editor option, look for village 11, its toward the end of the list.
