I do not see like that, the progression would be the same for everyone, Also I do not see a reason why normal people would play more than 1-3 hours per day in a week day(even as student or worker) a online game. So more than that you would not get that much xp/gold.

There's a better solution for that. Make it so that after you pass 3 hour mark per day, you get 0 XP and 0 gold. That way you would force those who grind to stop playing after 3 hours. People who play just for fun will keep playing just like in Native.

Uhm, i work, usually i get home 6-7ish, throw in a few hours of gaming. I don't feel i've been left behind. Considering I didnt play for 3 months, i actually feel like im doing well. Maybe some people are just better players? Also keep in mind this is NOT a direct competition. Strategy and teamwork will beat grind most of the time imho.
