I previously stated I wanted to become an admin, but I'd like to retract that.


Too many admins let their power go to their head, or make rules up on the fly. Not dogging on most admins, but a lot are guilty of this. I hope the newest applicants (if chosen) remember that they are put partially into this power by their peers, need to respect that, and need to honor the fact that so few people continue to play this mod and that a slip up here and there is something that should not be met with harsh punishment. Such as Plague's case.

I'll start out with my ban history right off the bat... I've been kicked once by Dexxtaa for teamkilling a peasant who wasn't doing anything and banned once by Muki for 5 hours for revenge teamhitting.

I'm unbiased. I hate everyone equally and love all dicks equally.

I was admin on the Haven server before it got taken down and never got any complaints. The only reason I wasn't reappointed admin on the Haven server after it was taken down and put back up again was because the leader of Haven wanted to have more admins from other clans and less from Haven to put down accusations of admin abuse on the server.

I'm also currently an admin on the NA Community server. I don't play there particularly often, mostly due to my love for siege, but when I'm there I do my best to uphold the peace.

Not sure what kind of admins you're looking for, but I tend to be more harsh than I perceive other admins to be. Players who I am sure are familiar with the rules and may have been in the past will not receive verbal warnings for offenses and I'll jump straight to kicks or short (one hour) temp bans. Of course, if it's something like spamming chat a mute more than suffices. I don't have a specific guideline for how long bans should be for repeat offenders but my general policy is to increase the severity of the ban exponentially. One hour jumps to 6 hours, then 24 hours, then 3 days, then a week, then a month, than 3 months, then an essay ban. Something like that.

I'm fairly easy to get along with, unless the people I know and hang out with are lying to me.

My times tend to be early in the morning and late at night on weekends.

I would like to be an admin on NA. I have plenty of experience as an admin on servers, as I was one of the few admins on the ATS community servers who DIDN'T have tons of hate threads.

My secret is simple: I maintain the philosophy that any action I take as an admin should only be taken after asking the question: "Is what I'm about to do going to improve this game environment as a whole?"

I think that is what admins are for, simply to maintain the integrity of the gaming environment in order to facilitate the population's continued enjoyment.

I don't think people should be banned when a verbal warning will suffice for correcting the behavior. I think that verbal warnings go a long way without damaging the population or general fun of a server, and so I issue verbal warnings generously. I only resort to mechanical methods of punishment(mute, kick, ban) when others fail. I also believe that bans should be a relatively rare thing that only happens when people fail to respond positively to lower tier action.

EDIT: I also work 3rd shift, so I play at times when there normally isn't an admin around(early morning).

For real though I play in every strategus battle I can (Got in 111 this strategus) and I play on NA1 a ton because i'm a nolifer, I like to give people a few chances before bringing down the banhammer and i'm overall just a SWELL GUY.

And if I told you he has now, 4 or 5 accounts globally banned, this doesn't raise a flag to you? Surely you don't feel that you know more than even a tenth of the details. Yet here you are, assuming you know things, then making poor judgements based upon what little information you have. Indeed, everyone is lacking knowledge about some things, but you don't have to make judgements about that which you are in the dark.

Never assume you know all of the details. As administrators, we try to keep certain things private and if the player wants to go around sharing their past fuck ups, that's on them. Contrary to popular belief, some people do actually learn their lesson the first time.

I'm up for being admin on NA_cRPG_7, the defend the virgin server. It's pretty much all I play lately and usually when I am on there is no admin there. I've played cRPG for 3 years now, know the rules, and wouldn't disappoint.

Hello!  I'd like to be an admin!

Situation that I disagree with:

An admin kicking/banning a player, without warning, for chat abuse.  I think a warning goes a long way.  It also prevents complaints of "why did you ban me I did nothing wrong."

Situation that I agree with:

Banning a player for 5 minutes for teamwounding after a warning in-game.  This gets the point across that the behaviour needs to stop, but is not an excessive ban.  A slap on the wrist.

Situation that I disagree with:

Admin kicks the last player alive on a team, a horse crossbowman, for "delaying."  Said horse crossbowman was riding around shooting (and hitting) the enemies.  The admin did not even warn, just kicked the guy.  Maybe that guy could kill them all, maybe he had a multiplier.  The remaining players could easily have picked up a crossbow/taken cover for MOTF rather than complain in chat.  Obey the rules, not the masses (of complaining two-handers).

I play a lot, obey the rules, report griefers, don't rage in chat or on the forums, and have a pretty clean record.

Not a chance, the NA troll clans run the servers. if i was NA, i'd make a new server and boycott the official ones until something is done about it

And if nothing is done about it, at least you have a moderated server

I'm gonna go ahead and apply for this. I recently became an admin on Community as I wanted to see just how terrible it is baby-sitting and if I could handle the work-load. And honestly it's not that bad, quite rewarding actually. I just want the chance to give back to the community and make sure all players have a fun environment in which to enjoy playing the mod in.

I've admin'd in a few different games, mostly Counter Strike. I like to think I'm a pretty level-headed guy without bias, my clan members can attest to this with my kicking of them for being stupid on community.

I generally play anywhere from 1 PM - 2 AM on the weekdays and on the weekends much later, rather odd hours. Usually all the way up until 6 AM (no life.) I am PST btw. I think it'd be nice to have an admin on at these odd hours as the trolls tend to come out at these times.

EDIT: As far as my ban history goes, I've been banned once, and it was later proven to be a wrongful/accidental ban based on a wrong time, wrong place situation and was immediately revoked. So I have a shiny clean record.

Most of those admins are corrupt. I would rather deal with Gash, Canary, Eyebeat and Muki any day over Noodles, Miracle and any other Remnant admin besides Shadowren.
