Best 2 handed weapon? (for me, help me decide)

Im looking for the best two-handed weapon on the entire list, (i have enough money to buy 1 and a third of a flamberge) so im looking for the best weapon, with the most well rounded damage, reach, and speed. I hear danish is good but im wondering about the highlander claymore.... I also like weapons that break shields easily. So pretty much tell me what weapon you think is best and explain why, and then ile decide.

Oh.. Thats a hard one. Depends on many things...
What are you stats / what are you aiming at when you hit lvl 31?
How important is for the weapon to break shields?
Are you good at manual blocking?

I have used every ( almost ) 2 hand weapon, and for my "build" - Heavy Bastard Sword and Long Sword are the ultimate weapons.
I have only 15 Agility, so bigger weapons are waa-a-ay too slow. Besides, I am not a big fan of backpedal spam ( at least i try not to when possible, hehe ), so weapons length is actually a disadvantage for me.
If you want to break shields, and 1-hit kill most of your enemies, while your manual blocking is not exactly perfect - take a Great Bardiche. Awesome weapon.
At this point i have 3-4 weapons in my arsenal ( only use one at a time though ): Heavy Bastard/Longsword, Great Maul, Great Bardiche.
Want to spam? Take Nodachi, spammer's weapon of choice. Swing this bitch from left to right, and feel how everyone hates you.

For 2h weapons, I usually use a Great axe. I hate shield users, period. Otherwise I'd use any sword. The shorter swords have lower damage, but faster speed, while the larger swords are slow, but hit powerfully and have higher range. I also pick up the weapons others drop in game(katana, nodachi claymore, etc...) Each 2h is good, but it all depends on play style. If you are going balanced, I'd say a Longsword or bastard sword(about equal speed v dmg). Higher agility would be katana, or a great sword.(Speed vs Dmg). Heavy str build, Buy a  blunt weapon: Bar Mace or Maul or Morningstar.

I hate people that block, shields or manual. So I heirloomed a great maul.

12 agi, weapon master and athletics at 4. Rest into ironflesh and power strike. Wear medium armor (45-50) and a good helm.

I have yet to see anyone successfully block a single attack.

With the ridiculous range on the great maul you are useless outside clusterfucks, people can just backpaddle while swinging and there is nothing you can do.

I got myself a bar mace, and with the money left over a coat of plates, with 5000 gold to spare!! I got 2nd on my teams list with the bar mace! Thanks for your help.

You're right. Forcing 2 or 3 people to back up by simply raising your maul isn't good.

You had better bought a long iron mace, because the bar mace will certainly be nerfed in the next patch.

I see people keep suggestions the Heavy Bastard sword.  Any reason for this over the Longsword?

Longsword has same speed, 1 more reach, and bit more dmg, for lower weight.

Seems Longsword is a better choice.  or does it come down to cost?

What I would recommend is going to the duel server when it is busy and just picking up weapons off the ground.  Eventually you'll find something you like.

Of course, you should also begin amassing an amazing collection of weapons with new increased income.

Oh, and strength builds are good, but you will need to learn how to block.  Again, duel server it up.

This.  Hit up the duel servers.  You'll find Braeden and I there often (sometimes just repeat duelling each other to practice chambers and dancing, lol) and we're more than happy to spawn you some weapons if we have em and duel with you for practice.
