For the record, I play almost exclusively archer. I play a polearm/lance-cav occasionally.

=upkeep increase; it's not terrible, but it's not great either. The "old money" crowd still has enough gold for it to not effect them. Lowbie characters suffer more. Plus, when everything they own is 'loomed, long-time players can just sell away their 'loom points for even MORE gold. Thus, I'm not sure what the point of this change was.
+Throwing is back. That's nice.
+STRATEGUS is back. Thanks!
+"Your valor has been rewarded!" No idea how you get this, but I assume there's a system to see if players on shitty teams are doing well and this rewards them. Good idea.
+Archery cost increases. It was good while it lasted, and maybe balanced towards the relative utility of the archetype, but archers now make far less money. It wasn't an unfair change, especially since lower quality arrows are a decent substitute, just like other archetypes can choose slightly worse gear.
=Lancing. It may be harder, but playing lance cav still isn't all that terribly difficult. I'm awful, and I still maintain a fairly even K/D on horseback (Rouncey and Heavy Lance, medium armor). I certainly still have a lot of fun doing it.
-Archery range/damage. It's all been said already. Ridiculous. It was fine, if not underpowered before. For God's sake, look at the kill-death ratios and leaderboards. There is not one iota of evidence that has been brought forth to show that archery was somehow too good prior to .230. Please change archery back to what it was.
+I like the new yumi bow option. Haven't fooled around with it yet, but it has very interesting stats. Archers don't get too many options, so this is a welcome addition.

- Pike is still un-nerfed
- Archery got slightly overnerfed
- Crossbows still has no WPF requirement
- STF cooldown is too long, and maybe unnecessary

Talked to a lot of archers since the new patch and I also read many posts here.

Almost everyone is complaining about how archery is currently.

The missile speed is just ridiculous now. It's so hard to hit someone who is more than a few meters away because you arrows are just too slow. It's also very easy now to dodge them if you have at least 2 or more athletics :/

And if you try to aim a bit longer for someone so you might hit him when he is a bit further away, your reticule grows and grows because of the accuracy/ pd effect change  :rolleyes:

Longbow is almost useless now. I need 3-4 arrows now for a person with Kuyak, when he is more than 20 meters away and with 6 powerdraw my reticule grows faster using a longbow than with other bows -.-

Real talk here could you hire a lady knight to do some female recordings of the vocal bindings it breaks my immersion hearing mens voices come from ladys, if any Dame wants to take up this task I can promise a 200 million eve isk reward.

-archers didn't need nerf - arrow speed, damage too low.
- Upkeep silly high. Personally I like fighting tin cans when in light armour.
- Really need a 0 slot sword! (how about short sword?)
- Horses too slow.

+shields slower to pull up.
+ more weapons!

Upkeep is perfect
Need to increase arrow speed, but otherwise its great

old but not forgotten:
- retirement bonus. lowered awhile ago, but I miss what it was before as it eased/rewarded the grind a little more.
