It's because people don't want others "escaping" a bad reputation by changing their name...and the fear of this manufactured terror is what stops the rest of the players from having this luxury.  It's a shame.

On forum it is not possible.

In game, you can add or remove tags and fix typos but a full name change is not allowed. In the next patch, you will have a one hour window after retiring for a full name change.

No, if you change one letter at a time, you will be banned when youve done it enough to change ur nick, and then you gotta change it back. BAD ADVICE!
