Definitely not the kind of dog to go running around non stop. Efficient use of energy
. But I wouldn't say lazy he would walk with you as long as you wanted. As for intelligence I wouldn't say they aren't smart. We've only had the one but he was a smart dog, though definitely a bit clumsy. Cleared a few tables with that tail of his lol.
They were bred as sled/service/family dogs so they are strong, loyal, and have great personalities. You could not find a better breed of dog assuming the size/hair aren't a problem for you. They are some massive dogs and you'll find their hair everywhere. During the summer you'll see little balls of it blowing around your property like tumbleweeds.
