Shield Heirloom Recommendations

Any suggestions on a good shield to heirloom for someone going into a 1h build?

Mine personally for TANK!, is heavy board shield, or you can go a HEAVEH TANK! and hierloom steel shield ;)

Yeah, but don't think about swinging back on any good players with those two
I'd suggest Heavy Kite Shield or Heavy Heater Shield. Decent speed and hitpoints.

Thanks guys. I waffling between going straight tank and using the steel shield and going with a heavy kite.  I currently am using the heavy kite as a gen1, and am planning on going for a 12/24 spec to get some speed (I did not set up this first generation properly, I split between spear and 1h and got some riding that I never use).

Basic Heavy Kite can take about 5 straight hits from the big polearm axes.
Steel about 7 or 8.
If you got still some grinding to do for lvl 31, I'd suggest you try a faster shield for some time and then switch to a slower one. And so on and on. You'll find out, which one you like.

Heater shield is the best shield.  It also comes with a hot paint job and custom rips, just like Abercrombie & Fitch jeans.

Depends really, what you do as 1h.

If you have an alternate weapon, take 1 slot shield. If you got enough slots, why not take a huscarl? Can take some hits, and the size is awesome for shieldwalls. If you see any bonus against shield weapons, just put it away.
