If I had the cash, I'd totally drop 400k on a +1 Long Spear or Pike.

this is shit

noone buys for that much, he just wants that for all his heirlooms because he's scared of making a bad deal, and tehrefore he wants overprice for everything.

150-200k per heirloom point, 250k max

I agree with Torp, a Long Pike +1 isn't that good since it's a support weapon.

The real question is how much $ can you make in 1 gen?

The maximum amount of gold you could gain in a single generation is actually at generation 1, because with higher generations the amount of XP you gain per tick is higher, but the amount of gold you gain per tick remains the same.

Thus, with 8,735,000 XP needed to retire: (I do not know the exact values for the last three digits, but it's inconsequential)

8,735,000 XP/1,000 XP per tick = 8,735 ticks x 50 gold = 436,750 gold

This holds regardless of multiplier, because gold increases by the same proportion that XP does. Consider the case of a perpetual 5x multiplier:

8,735,000 XP/5,000 XP per tick = 1,747 ticks x 250 gold = 436,750 gold

This is without the upkeep, in my opinion it is 50% of this.

I dont get why you shouldnt get more then one guy could earn in one generation.
You dont have to retire to get that heirloom => extra costs
People that are lvl33 plus only have this option => extra costs
You can get an additional heirloom with your gold => extra costs

300-400k is ok for 1 heirloom point.

No its not.

Its not, because youa lready assigned the heirloom point.  If you had not assigned it yet, its worth is clsoer to that much for those reasons listed above, but once you assign it (especially to a weapon few people want to assign it to like the long spear) it loses much of its value.  I saw a 2x loomed leather gloves lately listed for 300K and they were still over-priced because hands-down one of the worst heirlooms because you only get +1 for the first 2 heirlooms so you essentially have mail mittens that weigh .1 instead of .25 lbs which really doesn't make a difference.  You can't justa ssume all heirlooms are created equal and when youa ssign your point badly so there are not a lot of interested buyers in that item the price will be substantially lower.

The amount of money you make in a gen has nothing to do with how much an heirloom should cost.

How much TIME does it take to get another gen?  How much gold is it worth to you to save ALL that time, and get an heirloom instantly?

About 400k, for me. If I had the money (bought a few looms already, so I'm down to 180k), I'd be completely willing to buy an x1 Long Spear for 400k, as it is one of the items I eventually hoped to loom on my main myself.

Are there any heirloomed items that have been sold for pure money yet? Untill that happens, its impossible to say what the price is. We just have to wait and see when someone reduces the price on the heirloomed items they have put on the market enugh for someone to buy it. Then that price is the correct price.

Its all about supply and demand.
