European wars was one of my favorite games as a kid, but this looks like a shitty remake. It actually visually looks less impressive than EW, and it seems like there arent any new gameplay mechanics added. I hope I'm wrong, but this looks like a shitty cash in.

Same opinion.
I played the fuck out of Cossacks 1 and 2, these were the first games where I experienced large scale battles (didnt play much TW back in the days) and it was sooooo innovative at the time! If they bring no new gameplay to the table and cant even bring as many units, and they look shitter, than the previous game, I dont even want to know whats the history behind why this game is being released, but it looks like it shouldnt.

Never played Cossacks 2 but Cossacks 1 was hard as fuck, had all three versions and was shit at all of them.

Wait, what am i missing? They're promising 10k units at the same time and the game definitely does not look bad?

Also, slightly unrelated, but apparently this game happening makes some people believe that a STALKER 2 might be happening as well...

Strategy games never need  to rely on graphics as much as other games, I still play Back to War regularly with a few friends and I'm excited for this game but if it doesn't have anything new compared to the old ones I might drop out on it. The old games still got a good amount of people playing online, all though mostly Russians and east block. Always though that the fact that you need to maintain your food levels or your workers die of famine was a good mechanic, great way to restrict rushing compared to AoE (all though rushing in Cossacks isn't hard) and you also need stone / wood to upkeep your walls. For me personally the first Cossacks is a better AoE2.

its not even about the graphics, its about rendering shitton of individual units on the screen.

that needs CPU power.

10k units? Didnt hear about that, sounds like an upgrade. But really the art design is cheap as hell, at least for me.
