Dogfighting is too weird with all those reverse-thrusting tricks, I prefer classic plane combat, but you won't find that in Planetside.

ESF plays a lot more like an attack helicopter if you ask me.

I like the reverse thrust tricks, fun to learn and to pull off is Kreygasm. But i forgot them quickly after not playing for months..

Currently I am on an older backup VGA because the other one died, it is a HD3870, so I can't play this iirc.

I played it in 1080p with a 4870HD back in the days. If you have a decent CPU it will work, you just need to read a guide on optimizing the game.

The vehicle combat from what I understand now is very grindy/p2win and the infantry combat got a bit stale but it was good fun for a while.

It's very grindy indeed compared to infantry, in the sense that you definitely need a lot of certs in order to setup your vehicle correctly. It's not P2W though, as money can merely shorten the grind.

And now, atleast from my experience, when you find someone up in the air and engage in a dogfight they will shit on you because people who are flying now have thousands of hours of experience..

Indeed. I have one thousand hours of experience with quite a bit of flying and I still can't win a hover fight against anybody even half decent. It's not like I tried it a lot anyway, A2A is quite pointless and unrewarding. Besides with the current form of A2A missiles and coyotes it's not the optimal way to do A2A.

That's it, it supports only 4000 series AMD iirc, nothing below, but it can run on a 8600 GT, which is a worse card.

I am a well below average pilot, but my new favourite thing is to obliterate infantry with hellfire missiles by doing quick strikes and then hide/lose chasers in Hossin's massive trees.
I stopped trying to actually shoot anyone down a long time ago.

That's pretty much what I do in ESFs as well. I auraxiumed the Banshee before the nerf. cry evryytiem
