I honestly have no idea what the fuck Dupre was thinking about, editing the current crossbows, like the arbalest. Everyone always says "nerf crossbows" so obviously this is what we want to see in game. I think this is a great idea and would be very effective against cavalry and infantry. Also a great idea for strat sieges because the styrofoam bolts would definitely be able to go through heavy plate easily and definitely be one shot kills. Obviously going to be ineffective against naked guys though because it would just make his/her nipples hard.

In my opionion the typical difference between bows and crossbows are gone now.
xbow : should take a while to reaload, xbow is heavy, the xbow has a nice am and does high damals

Bows: have a more worse aim, are lighter in the weight,  can reload fast, but the damage is lower

I can't say you are wrong because it is your opinion; but it is my opinion that damage is only very slightly better, reload time make archery superior and weight makes xbow sitting ducks. The higher accuracy and missile speed are both ridiculous and only useful for people that couldn't shoot before.

Raylin and I did a few damage tests where +3 arb +3 steel bolts basically = Horn bow(War Composite Bow). That is far from balanced.

It should not take me 4 bolts to kill the same guy it takes a horn bow to kill in 5.

builds were ruined because of it, xbows are pretty shit now

i was playing on horse xbow today and the reload time is absolutely fucking stupid (like 30 seconds, with 210 xbow WPF)

HX was already fairly bad, now its just a shitfest

Apparently the ones who made this change nvr played xbows in native where you can reload xbow 2-3x faster than a bow in crpg or almost as fast as native bow.

Yeah I genuinely feel bad for HX, their class which was already part dead is now completely ruined and useless. They do absolutely no damage to people even in light armour and their realod time is absurd.
