Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to increase gold gain in Battle? Before you flame, hear me out.

Not too long ago repair costs actually meant something and the equipment you chose was picked strategically. Plate armor and heavy cav was issued to the wealthiest players as gold would be lost using it. This constant gold deficit promoted the search to make money in other ways (the market). I understand this increase in gold gain was implemented towards helping new players but it honestly has taken some fun out of the game.

When I first began my journey into Crpg I was a crossbowman. I saved and saved until I finally had enough gold to buy an arbalest. I felt so accomplished to finally have owned one. I mean I made that thing my baby. At one point I was so broke, the stats on it were -3 but I didn't care. I can't help but look back at how much more fun Crpg used to be.

I agree. (Since after 4 years of playing I still cant + or - things)

I don't really care about heirloom inflation, but I do miss having to manage my upkeep to make profits.

Might as well just remove upkeep at this point. Only people it has any impact on is new players.
You think you're pretty smart with your dago mustache and your greasy hair.

It's called inflation. You increase the amount of currency without increasing the material value backing it (such as loomed weapons, points, etc) and it essentially devalues whatever that currency is. So you need more of that currency to buy something of the same value. Kind of cool to see the rules that apply in the real world apply to this games economy as well.

This doesn't effect upkeep

I was referring to the image, but yeah I guess the words under them matter too. Guess I can use this again...
