China is arguably the oldest nation/civilization. Most thing we Europeans credit ourselves for inventing are actually been invented centuries ago before that in China (imagine Chinese inventing stuff and not just copying, madness!) They are like immortal man living peacefully in the busy neighborhood where new generation of kids are growing up and every once in awhile, some of them are acting like bullies just because they have grown big and strong but immortal man doesn't care, he keeps minding his own business until some big kid decides to take a move on him. Some did, neither succeeded.

There isn't nation old as Chinese that is still relevant on the world stage up to this day. Can bet people in two thousand years from will be able to say to same without it being false claim.
