STARFIGHTER INC [Kickstarter]

If you're old enough to remember X-Wing and Tie-Fighter then you may be interested in this.  It's a project in the same vein as the aforementioned games led by David Wessman, the designer behind said games.  Right now it doesn't seem like the funding is rolling in but there is potential yet for something decent to come out of this.

I don't think it's jumping on a bandwagon as such, I think it's more of a "flavour of the month" kinda thing, inspiration so to speak. Plus competition is healthy regardless, these games look different and each of them are going to have to do something unique and special if they want to be as good as the others.
