CRPG Launching
« on: May 14, 2015, 07:38:21 pm »

Hi guys,
When I turn on CRPG either through the Play CRPG exe or through Steam it asks if I can verify it as it wants to make changes as though I haven't installed it. If I click yes it then asks me to select the location of the mb_warband.exe and then it starts the game, this should only happen once AFAIK and then it'll just load up. I think it's not updating the registry so Windows thinks it's installing each time but I can't figure out a way to get past it. It's not affecting the running of the game it's just a bit annoying.

If it's UAC, turn it off like it's explained here.

I've put it on the desktop, in the steam files with the rest of CRPG and of course from my downloads folder, had the same thing each time.

Put it in ...\steamapps\common\MountBlade Warband and not in ...\steamapps\common\MountBlade Warband\Modules\cRPG.

That's where it is. I've managed to get around user account control now but it still asks me where my mb_warband.exe file is every time I open it which it never used to do. Don't know why at all.

But that's weird because cRPG uses crpg_beta.exe and not mb_warband.exe. Are you sure you are running cRPGLauncher.exe and not something else?

Yep. As I said i think it was trying to install it each time like a first attempt. I fixed it though. Turned out when I moved it from my downloads to the warband folder it created a shortcut instead of moving it. Big fail.

Thanks anyway guys.

I get a similar problem when I have created a server. Go in your installation folder and verify if thoses files are presents:
-crpg_beta.exe
-mb_warband.exe
-mb_warband_old.exe

edit: didn't see the last answer, good job .
