I assume this idea has already been talked about outside of prying eyes but I thought we, the honourable, lovable, troll cunts that we are should talk about it.

It's already been said that archery will get a nerf considering the crazy power boost purer builds will receive. 24/24 longbow archers hitting like trucks with hellfire missle like (civilian murdering) accuracy would be blue sky Pakistan levels of horrible. So the nerf is totally justified.
I think however for the sake of balance, especially for the new players it should go a little further.
Take power increases away from loomed bows altogether and instead have a larger buff for accuracy and fire speed, also uncouple the max PD buff so it can go higher than +4 above the bow req, perhaps +6?
That way the power of bows can be massaged much more easily and the community can suffer less pain in the short and long run as they are adjusted as well as hopefully creating a less horrible experience for archers and making it much more interesting for them as well.
Currently you need loomed gear to do much of anything with bows and that's just kind of sad and silly.
