Possible 1h cav build

Ello, does this sound like a decent build?
Level:           30

Strength:        18
Agility:         18

Skill to attr:    2
Ironflesh:        5
Power Strike:     6
Athletics:        6
Riding:           6
Weapon Master:    6
One Handed:      98
Polearm:        134

I'm thinking I would use:
  • Desert horse
  • Italian sword when on my horse
  • Long Axe when teamfighting on the ground
  • Quarterstaff when dueling on the ground
  • Pronoia Helmet
  • Serbian Lamellar with Kneecops
  • Scale Gauntlets
  • Splinted Greaves

Thoughts?
VERY nice boy :)

I don't really see the point of going 1h/pole hybrid unless you do it the other way : lance/1h on horse then 1h on the ground. If you are going to use a polearm on the ground, you might as well go lancer.

Yeah it's a decent build, although the choice of gear seems a bit weird to me.

I believe the player's armour and horse's armour should be somewhat balanced, otherwise you don't use the advantages of the better armour. Example - what's the point in riding plated charger naked? You can't use the tankyness of your horse if you yourself die in 1 arrow.
Similarly, what's the point in wearing heavy armour (well, medium-heavy) if your desert horse has none? It relies on manueverability to avoid being hit, so you being armoured is a doubtful advantage.

Italian sword isn't the best for fighting on horseback. Other swords, like Long Arming Sword, KAS, NCS, ACS, are all better because they have more length and damage, while having less speed. But weapon's speed doesn't really matter when you're on horse.

Italian sword is, however, what I would use when teamfighting on the ground, instead of long axe.  :)

But all those notes are a matter of preference, if you feel you want to use what you listed, go for it, it's absolutely not a bad choice.

I don't really like lancing though, and my last gen as 21/15 with a charger (pre nerf :|), same armor and a spathion worked very very well, but now seeing that all the heavy horses are pretty much unusable now, I thought light would work better.
Hmm maybe I should just try a high agi cav build, would that work? I'd have to go 12/24 or something like that and if I were to do that, I'd have to lance wouldn't I?

Why, 1h would work just fine with that build as well. Just don't get stuck and keep maneuvering and hitting people on high speed.

If you get the high polearm wpf, you might as well use a lance on your cav and couch people.

Wouldn't it be too weak?

I'll use polearms because I like them on the ground more than 1h and I don't like lancing :)

My previous horse archer build had 4 PS, 100 wp in onehanded and 8 riding, with arabian cav sword and arabian warhorse, the damage was just fine as long as I used my speed bonus.
I used to onehit kill archers and light infantry a lot. Even onehit medium-armoured cav sometimes when they were riding towards me.

The lance damage with the same stats would be nice as well though.
