DTV

Was DTV sped up & damage increased?  Seems like recently even the peasants/bandits one shot my lvl 20 fully loomed gear guy.  A bit aggravating.  Was a challenge before when I could take 2-3 hits at least in fully loomed gear.  Now its just... eh.  I know.. lvl 20.  But still whats the point if in you cant even take one hit with looms you worked long and hard for?  May as well just go naked and save money.

Felt like before I could at least contribute as I leveled.  Now I feel like that's not so much true... which makes the game mode less fun.

As far as I know, all previous waves were unaffected, apart from weaboos turning into ninjas. The ninjas are a bit hard yes but I see no reason why you feel the peasants and bandits are harder. Their mauls do a lot of damage, yes, and with a good hit to the face they can 1 hit you at times, depending on your head gear. Weren (the peasant boss) also swings his staff incredibly fast, not to mention staffs are very fast to begin with.

Maybe some day they'll call us heroes.

You died on peasant waves as a level 20 in fully loomed gear?
Yes, must be the server's fault.

Really constructive lemon.

I simply played and the bots feel faster by far than before at all levels.  I've noticed geared groups dying to peasants and bandits that they could manage before.  So I asked in chat and someone said the bots were sped up and damage increased.  I looked for a post on it and found nothing.  Maybe I missed it.

Just had one peasant literally kill 5 guys in a row.  Guess they were all mid level guys in unloomed gear... must be.  Can't be anything more because lemon is such a baddie and said so.

I still think something was changed... but part of the problem was probably that I was playing on NA DTV.  I usually play EU... people just cooperate better.

The difference between an unloomed set and a loomed one is notable, but not tremendous. Loom items because you like them, not to become overpowered. If you expect to be significantly harder to kill by DTV bots just because your loomed your stuff, you are expecting the wrong thing.

Level 20 is very weak though, impossible to have a fair chance in PVP and very hard to be good against bots, too. Getting oneshot by a Maul in the head is very likely, regardless of the helmet. However, also a level 30 build can be very diversified (shield skill, riding skill, horse archery, PD, PT, split wpf, ...) and just as weak as a level 20 build.

Bots weren't buffed or anything; compared to before, the stats are weaker, but the unglitchable maps and the increased bot number compensate it again.

In summary: Deal with it or become a better player.

Pan - People pontificating about "deal with it or get better"... lol.  Been playing this game for years.  I can tell the difference between taking 2-3 hits at level 20 and getting one shot at level 20.  No not with mauls either.  And at level 20 I can play viably well, depending on the gear I use, terrain and people.  I've held my own even at that level.  So instead of the trite "deal with it or get better" maybe you need to learn to play better if you can't do that at level 20?

722- I forget now where I was playing but the bots were running pretty fast and swinging fast.

95% of the community is playing this for years.

Don't you smell the shit in your argumentation? If this happens once in 100 hours, it is often. You pretend like it happens 24/7. Have you thought of the chance that these players were unaware and/or wounded before they got hit?

If you are a twohanded my old friend or a polearm spammer, you might be able to S key everyone to death at level 20. A Spathovaklion, Warhammer or Steelpick shielder might have a chance too. But if you play a character that requires a tiny bit of skill to perform well, you wouldn't say that level 20 is well-playable. Or why do you think hybrid chars or people in light armor grind up to level 35 and higher?

This thread summarized:
You observed yourself failing and concluded that the stats of the DTV bots were buffed. If you are told they weren't buffed, you don't believe us or if you finally accept it, you say they have been OP ever since.

The TL;DR version of what happened to DTV:
Weaker bots, but more of them and removal of all fences and spots inaccessible for bots. No buffed stats. So either you forgot to skill ironflesh, the loomed armor you talk about is a Linen Tunic +3, you got very unlucky about where and how you got hit, or your observation is simply wrong. Since you have multiple years experience of playing DTV, you know that Fips and Shik did the DTV chances, and since Shik has been MIA, you ask Fips in a PM about what he has changed before you produce chamber of tears material. Only if you do not believe the statements of players, that is.

Panuru - Dude if you can't post in a more constructive way... just don't post.  Its embarrassing to see you open mouth and vomit out that kind of bad attitude.  Its a game, people will have different views.  Learn to express yourself with out the unnecessary baggage, fronting, and dissing, bro.

722- It may well have been HRE I played on.  As I think about it more while I usually play EU, sometimes NA, I remember jumping on HRE DTV for the first time recently.  I'll have to check it out and see if that's it.

Alright, wait for someone to tell you the same message in a nicer way, if that makes you happy. It won't change its content though.

Bots in HRE server cannot block in all directions and they spam attacks, so you can just spam there with anything but stab and block their spam.

Either way, bots are still the same, although changes in weapons (from cRPG patches) affect them as well, and, in all games, sometimes you win, other times you lose. You were probably just unlucky that time.
