NA servers were incredibly laggy this afternoon. The pinnacle was

Does anyone know exactly why the servers were so laggy? If so, how can this be fixed/kept from happening?

Back in my day hooked on phonics only had a white kid on the front, so my mother would not let me anywhere near it. I blame society really.
