I still don't understand what point you're trying to make, if you're playing on a free shard you wont have to pay a subscription, so I don't see why guys on free shards would have any reaction to this whatsoever. Nothing is changing where UO and free shards are concerned, UO being greenlit just means people can download the UO client on Steam to play on the official servers, to which they have to subscribe to if they want to pay. There are all kinds of UO clients out there and if you play on free shards you aren't going to even need to install it on Steam.
Whatever just play on the good old school free shard, UO Second Age.
