Most of us are currently living off relatives, friends, parttime-jobs or savings, to be able to work as much and cheaply as possible.

Played it for an hour or so.

  • feels like every other F2P FPS
  • tiny maps
  • extremely crappy shooting
  • BF3 retardation of UI elements everywhere on your screen
  • spent 5 minutes looking for the only thing that I needed from the shop, red dot sights for the rifle, couldn't find it; found shitload of skins and vanity items though
  • absolutely no idea why would you play this instead of just CS or BF3
Mods compatible with cRPG. New crosshairs, textures, sounds, yay.

So this escalated quickly. It's all over reddit, video game websites, and generally all over the internet.

Total Biscuit got his WTF is... Day One: Garry's Incident video flagged by the developers, even though they gave him the key for the game in the first place. Total Biscuit was highly critical in his video of the game.

Apparently he tried to handle this in private, but someone on Reddit noticed it being taken down, so it turned in to a massive shit storm. Causing it have a highly amusing user score on Metacritic (all-time lowest so far).

Kotaku article

I don't think Total Biscuit minds that it got out. His video is getting tons of hits and he's getting more subscribers.

This is the new WarZ :D

On top of this they banned all users that talked negatively of the game on Steam forums and have now even locked them to be availible only for those who own the game.

In other totally obvious video game news, Half Life 3 is never being released.

That's too bad, I was reading about the co-op missions that change from day to day and it sounded like it had a lot of potential.

This is getting ridiculous, one of the channels that made a reaction video to the Day One stuff was struck with a 2 week closing for a complain on a completely unrelated video http://www.dailymotion.com/nukemdukem#video=x16ajdm

I can see Dailymotion or similar getting popular in some circles because of this

I am seriously impressed by the Limit Theory dev. Every month he posts an awesome video of his progress and now he's done it again.

Just look at it. If too lazy to look at the whole thing, look at his data editor from 14:00 onwards. It's insane.

My only worry is that the gameplay is not given enough focus due to him being such a huge tech nerd :P

GoG.com is starting to offer a money back guarantee.

If the game doesn't work as advertised within 30 days of purchase you get your money back.
If you regret your purchase and haven't downloaded it, you can get your money back within 14 days.

GoG.com is once again representing fantastic customer service.

http://www.gog.com/support/website_help/money_back_guarantee

These days, whenever something I want is sold on steam, I check if it's on GoG.com first.

This data editor is just a more visual (which looks really neat btw) version of a debug program, without debug functionality. I also wonder how he manages to show the actually interesting stuff, when objects reference other objects, cycles and stuff like that.
