Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod - up to 600 players at the same time :O

They are working on it for quite some time but now they are close. There will be a beta test from the 7th till 14th December. After that they are aiming for a Steam release of some sorts.
I just read an article about it which lacked some more details... If I stumble across more, I'll update the post.

I tried out the MP mod maybe 1 year back and it was well done back then, only some small bugs. Looking forward to trying it out again once it comes out on steam.
