Banned from all servers?

Please unban from NA strat server all NA servers please.

Yes, I was leaching in a strat battle.  I wasn't able to keep playing until the battle ended.  The rules that were posted beforehand for this particular battle (http://forum.melee.org/diplomacy/battle-for-friendship-and-exp-arbalest-line-battle-(all-caps)/) said that if I disobeyed the rules I may be kicked, and I agreed to these terms.  So why ban?  I had another battle I was able to fully participate in afterwards.

Kicking from the arbalest battle I was leaching in makes perfect sense.  Banning from future strat battles is disproportionate,  I believe.  Banning from ALL NA servers is borderline ridiculous.  I'm sure you understand.

A tip for next time: you're much less likely to get banned/kicked in a strat battle if you're not able to make the whole thing or have an emergency if you simply uncheck the "ready to spawn" option.

That way you'll not waste any gear or tickets of that side. It's still against the rules, but its less harmful to the team.

I'm all for making sure the rules are followed, but if something comes and my character isn't contributing, just kick me from the battle.  No need to ban from all servers for 24 hours or whatever.

If you have to go AFK for a while and come back just uncheck ready to spawn, you won't get ticks while you're dead. If you're leaving for good then just leave the server, it's not that hard.

I believe you finally got banned about 10minutes before the end of the battle. All in all you prolly made about 800k xp hiding somewhere on the map that no one ever managed to find you. Sounds like you applied to the battle with the intention to leach... it was a fun battle for XP and you couldn't even be bothered to partake in order to get that xp... Honestly if you are willing to blatantly leach in for xp fun battles then I think you need a break from cRPG. I personally thought the 12hour ban you got was quite light.

As for the "rules for the battle blah blah kick blah blah" and "it never said id get banned!" well... breaking the rules of the battle would get you kicked at the request of the commanders of the battle but obviously if you are breaking global crpg rules then it makes sense that you would get punished according to crpg rules as opposed to the rules of that battle.

tl;dr if you are joining a battle for the sole purpose of going AFK in a corner and leaching then you deserve all the banning you get.
