It just doesn't make sense anyway you look at it. There's no way to stop the stab spin as soon as it hits your players body if not released?
Look, but why would you need to block a hit that is not released yet (therefore can't damage you)?
I honestly don't see a problem here...
yeah it would be awesome if weapons had static hit boxes even when they haven't been "released" from a chambered swing. so many issues would be fixed if weapons had hit boxes at all times.
That would actually fuck up the balance between long and short weapons too much. And you know, if you constantly get stuck with your weapon without even attacking, to what would you respec? To archer.
