Yeah driving around here really sucks ass. And I think that in "nicer" areas of the city, you'll find some of the worst drivers, because of a sense of entitlement, or because they have enough expendable money where getting in an accident isn't going to ruin their day. Obviously this is anecdotal, as some poorer areas with fresh off the boat immigrants are really bad drivers, but usually due to lack of experience or different driving experience than they're used to.
Wisconsin is a lot worse when it comes to people not using turn signals. In Minnesota they're almost as bad, it seems like a lot of people are just inconsiderate (not that they suck at driving), and they don't put themselves in the other cars shoes. I hate when people slam on their breaks and then signal their intention to turn. Or when I'm sitting at a green light (no arrows for either direction) and I have my left turn signal on, the guy opposite me doesn't, so I pull out slowly (giggity) waiting for them to drive straight, and then they end up pulling in front of me and turn left.
Almost had a guy take out my car coming home yesterday, was getting onto a freeway (going from 94W to 494S) and as I'm about to come around the curve of the exit to merge with 494 the guy trying to get off 494 is driving over the shoulder and flies right into the merge lane.
Yeah there's some really bad fucking drivers around here, and I think most of it stems from people just being inconsiderate douche bags rather than just sucking at life/driving.
All that being said, I really enjoyed jobs that had me driving around the cities, it does suck trying to stay in the speed limit though. And I prefer to be the one driving when I'm in a car
