WARNING: Failed to reset device...

Playing crpg, every once in a while the screen will go black. I can still hear the sounds of battle, but neither the game, nor alt-tabbing out to desktop or browser or anything, is visible. Just all black. Lasts for maybe 10-20 seconds, then when it comes back I get this message.

It seems to be happening with more frequency as it goes, started happening probably a couple weeks ago. I'm worried my video card might be dying? GeForce GTX 260, pretty old I guess, but I haven't had any other problems and am able to run things pretty good with WSE2. I hadn't changed any options in the game or card drivers or anything when it started happening, though I've since updated the drivers and it happened again.

Any devs know if that message means anything specific? Anyone else had this happen? What was the result? Tell me what my future holds, please and thank you.

i don't wanna jinx it, but there was a suggestion from that thread to use drivers 314.22 and so far it hasn't crashed in a few days... hopefully it'll hold up during longer sessions.
