This.  Blocking a thrist irl is not that hard.  It's like blocking any other attack.  It's fast and deadly, but not that hard to see coming.

Also, it's not that hard to chamber an attack irl.  In Italian longsword it's called a "Rebatare."  It roughly translates to "battering" the attack out the way, and then striking with your own.

Thrusts are hard to block, swings are not. Only good fighters can block - or rather - parry a spear/lance thrust. To parry thrusts, you must have good timing; ingame, chamber blocking is the appropriate skill.
If someone is running around while holding his mini-blade in front of his belly, he should not be able to block spear-thrusts (to the face), because that would be ridiculous...

Suggestion is: Make Stab-attaks only blockable by chambering, thank you.

There's no need to "chamber" (Deflect/parry followed by an attack) IRL really. Doing both at the same time isn't very difficult. At my HWC-group we use our swordmaster's interpretation of the schielhau to redirect and stab in one fluid movement. All it takes is some basic knowledge of "strong vs weak" :)

More realistic? Nope. Just transition from one pflug to the other and you're good to go. Stabbing from there is rather easy too.
